We have been fielding questions about a new store planned for Argyle. That future store is a separate operation from ours at 507 W. University Dr. in Denton. Here is a little background...
Radical Hospitality purchased the downtown location of Denton County Independent Hamburger Company back in 2012, and they purchased the name along with the business. Not long thereafter, Radical Hospitality chose to close the downtown location and later rebrand it as Lone Star Attitude Burger Company. The prior longtime owner of Denton County Independent Hamburger Company, Kim Kitchens, continued operating the Sunset Street location via a licensing agreement. Mike Barnett purchased the Sunset operation in March of 2018, and subsequently relocated to 507 W. University last month.
The principals of Radical Hospitality have decided to open a DCIHC in Argyle, TX later this year. They approached Mike Barnett to join them in this venture. After much consideration, Mike decided he couldn't commit to another new store at this time. Therefore, the location at 507 W. University and the future location in Argyle will operate independently with separate ownership.
We wish them well in Argyle, and we hope this clears up any confusion there may have been.
